Why a free digital version?
In the tens of thousands of miles of bicycle travel, I have been the
recipient of countless acts of kindness.
Before I was a bicycle traveler, I was an actor. I admired the tradition in
theater to offer a “pay what you can” performance. I could rarely
afford a full-price ticket to a play, so this offer was greatly
appreciated.
This digital version of Travels with Willie is offered in that spirit. If
it inspires you or someone you know to get on their bicycle and explore the
world, then it has served its intended purpose.
